April Lampert, LPCC

I found my way to this work the way many of my clients find their way to me, through burnout, patterns of self-abandonment, and the quiet knowing that something had to change.

Growing up as a sensitive child and the eldest daughter of four, I learned early that my worth lived in how well I could care for others. I carried that belief into my twenties, throwing myself into teaching with no regard for my own needs until burnout and chronic illness stopped me in my tracks. Some part of me had always known there had to be more to life than living for others and constantly seeking approval.

That unraveling became the doorway. It led me back to my body and into the slow, tender work of untangling perfectionist tendencies, people-pleasing, and self-abandonment, and eventually to this work of supporting others in finding their way back to themselves.

Personal and professional experience has shown me that healing isn't about perfection. It's about learning, growing, and being surrounded by people who truly see and celebrate you. My work focuses on helping you remember your innate worth outside of your circumstances and develop compassion for yourself in moments of challenge. Being in a human body on a soul path means there will always be more to meet, more to integrate, more to grow into, and that's not a flaw; it's the nature of being alive. Healing is a lifelong journey; it’s not quick or easy, but it doesn't have to be done alone.

I'm passionate about social justice, inclusivity, and equity. I am committed to creating spaces where people can show up and thrive as their full selves.

  • I work with highly sensitive people, deep feelers who are often exhausted by a fast-paced world that wasn't made to support them. My clients are frequently navigating anxiety, social anxiety, overwhelm, people-pleasing, self-esteem issues, emotional dysregulation, relationship challenges, overfunctioning, boundary struggles, and life transitions. Many are neurodivergent, chronically ill, or recovering from long patterns of self-abandonment.

I am especially drawn to working with folks socialized as female and those untangling identity, who they were told to be, versus who they actually are. I also support men who are open to embodied, relational healing through a feminine lens and interested in dismantling internalized patriarchy.

My deepest passion is working with women in the perinatal period — preparing for birth or postpartum, navigating infertility or loss, healing from birth trauma, or facing the everyday challenges of parenthood.

I help mothers move through the profound transformation of matrescence with compassion, resilience, and joy. I also walk alongside partners and parents as they navigate stress, change, and parenting challenges while striving for deeper family connection.

I support teen girls as they build self-esteem, process big emotions, and form a grounded sense of identity — work that feels especially meaningful as I raise two daughters of my own.

  • I came to this work through lived experience. Chronic illness, neurodivergence, and high sensitivity gave me an intimate understanding of feeling unseen and alone. Before answering the call to become a therapist, I spent nearly a decade teaching elementary school, where my deepest curiosity was never the curriculum. It was the emotional landscapes, the energy in the room, and the relational dynamics happening between people.

Those experiences led me to Body Psychotherapy, where I found a framework that finally made sense of what I had always known in my body. I hold a Somatic Counseling degree from Naropa University and bring a trauma-informed, person-centered, humanistic, attachment-focused approach to every session. I weave in parts work, body awareness, sensation tracking, and nervous system regulation. My work is relational at its core. I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is one of the most powerful instruments of healing.

I also support people in healing the witch wound, intergenerational trauma living in the nervous systems of highly sensitive, intuitive individuals, particularly women, queer folks, people of color, and other marginalized communities. This includes the inherited fear of persecution for possessing spiritual gifts, healing abilities, and nature-based wisdom. It encompasses tools for integration and energetic boundary work.

  • When I’m not in session, you’ll find me with loved ones, singing, dancing, getting lost in a good audiobook, hiking local trails, writing poetry, or curled up watching a compelling series. I believe in practicing what I teach, which means I prioritize rest, play, healthy boundaries, and staying connected to what brings me joy.
