Couples Counseling

Struggles Are a Natural Part of Any Relationship

When relationship difficulties arise, it’s normal to feel a range of emotions and even question your connection. The pain of disconnection or conflict can manifest in many ways, including:

  • Increased arguments or tension

  • Emotional distance or feeling disconnected

  • Difficulty finding common ground

  • Intense feelings of frustration or hopelessness

  • Lack of intimacy or emotional fulfillment

  • Increased anxiety or stress

  • A sense of loneliness or isolation, even within the marriage

  • Difficulty trusting or communicating openly

  • Self-doubt or questioning the relationship’s future

  • Withdrawal from your partner or avoidance of difficult conversations

  • Sudden outbursts of anger or irritability

  • Physical or emotional exhaustion

  • Uncertainty about next steps or decisions

Our couples therapists are trained in Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and IFS, and we welcome all relationship structures including LGBTQIA+ couples and ethically non-monogamous partnerships. We offer in-person sessions in Boulder and the Denver metro area, as well as telehealth across Colorado.
