Hey! My name is Letitia (luh-tisha), and I'm a licensed professional counselor. I specialize in supporting neurodivergent adults—especially those diagnosed later in life—people navigating “later-in-life” realizations, chronic illness and disability, and the deep work of healing from complex trauma.
While I specialize in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), my clients tend to appreciate my collaborative approach and the ability to integrate somatic practices, Internal Family Systems (IFS), polyvagal theory, and psychodynamic approaches through a trauma-informed lens. I deeply value continuing education, consultation, and skill-building. However, what allows me to show up most fully for my clients is bringing my lived, authentic experience into the room.
Growing up, I faced barriers early on due to being diagnosed with ADHD and a math learning disability in grade school. These challenges continued as I navigated life as a first-generation college student from a low-income family. In adulthood, I’ve lived with multiple invisible illnesses and autoimmune disorders, including chronic migraines and Celiac disease. Only recently was I diagnosed with autism—an identity that was long overlooked due to outdated diagnostic frameworks and the biases many neurodivergent individuals, especially women, face.
Through my own journey—with the help of incredible therapists and the support of my partner and community—I’ve been re-learning how to care for my body with more compassion and reconnecting with my true goals in life. I’ve been able to create a life I’m proud of—one where I get to walk alongside others doing the same.
As for how I show up in the therapy room—you might notice that my hair changes color! It’s been green, pink, and most recently, red. It's one of the ways I express my creativity and show up fully and authentically as myself. Therapy with me is grounded in ethical care and evidence-based practice, but also in real connection. You don’t have to mask or leave parts of yourself at the door—and neither will I.
Outside the therapy office, you’ll usually find me exploring vast forests, the Great Lakes, or mountain ranges with my camera, my partner, and our rescue dog, Hadley (who often makes a cameo in sessions as my unofficial co-therapist). When I can’t be outdoors, I turn to creative hobbies like embroidery, cooking, baking, or watching documentaries. I’m currently re-learning the clarinet, but honestly, there aren’t many hobbies I haven’t tried. If we work together, I’d love to hear about yours.
